Rivers of Council (ROC) is an organization dedicated to improving communication and connectivity for schools, sports teams, organizations, businesses, and families, any group who is seeking deeper relationships.
Through the transformative communication practice of council and other initiatives, ROC helps cultivate a culture of trust, belonging, and authentic sharing. All of our programs focus on improving mental health and conflict resolution skills. We believe deeply in the practice of authentic communication as a path to greater social understanding and a more peaceful world.

Team Building
Initiatives and games beneficial for building trust, increasing group cohesion, and encouraging creativity. These experiences are designed to be challenging, thought-provoking, engaging, and fun.
Social-Emotional Learning Retreats
A powerful opportunity for groups to experience connection, build community, and form a sense of belonging. These retreats help people connect with themselves, the group, and nature. Being in nature can help reduce stress, improve mental health, and lower depression and anxiety. Participants have time to slow down and move at a different pace from daily life.
Educational Outreach
Personal visits to your learning institutions to provide educational presentations on a variety of different topics, followed up with an opportunity to process and integrate the information. Some examples of relevant topics include decision making skills, healthy relationships, addiction and harm-reduction, LGBTQ+ awareness, and bullying.
Communication Development
Council is one of our cornerstone offerings — a communication practice that nurtures compassionate and open communication within groups. This structured yet flexible practice creates a space for dialogue, trust, and belonging among participants, marked by a commitment to active listening and authentic sharing.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Essential in creating a culture where each individual experiences feelings of belonging, appreciation, and respect. Integrating DEI helps boost creativity, enhance connectivity, and create a sense of upliftment for both individuals and the group as a whole.
